Open Source Enthusiasts will meet on 19th January in Ahmedabad - BarCamp

Is there an entrepreneur in you? Gujarat is leading the Open Source wave in India and the first BarCamp Arrived. What better venue it could have selected than IIM Ahmedabad campus?

BarCamp is a networking event. Its different and its very much "Hands On". Bring your laptops and memory sticks and come and network with young entrepreneurs who are building some cool apps in bleeding edge of technology.

Why should one join? Well, there is a clear shift today where more and more youngsters want to work for themselves. Thanks to broadband penetration. The companies like Infosys, Wipro, etc no longer lure the entrepreneurs who take risk to do something of their own. They see light where others see darkness. "What was the best time to join Infosys?" - Not now!! - It was 20 years back when you would have got a decent equity. Today if you join any big company, you'll still be drawing a salary and working for years and years - maybe changing companies. If you Dream Big, then you have to start with an idea and guess what if you want to bring your technology idea to reality, you can do it cheaply(Almost freely) with some cool open source software.

The first ever Ahmedabad BarCamp is to be held at CIIE building
