Flak for Narendra Modi's book Convenient Action: Gujarat’s response to Challenges of Climate Change

Vadodara-based environmental engineer Rohit Prajapati has released what is perhaps the first review of CM Narendra Modi’s book on climate change — Convenient Action: Gujarat’s response to Challenges of Climate Change. At a press conference at Gujarat Vidyapith here on Wednesday, Prajapati said the book “conveniently ignores” many of the state’s environment issues. The Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Vapi, has not been “able to fulfil the environmental norms prescribed by Gujarat Pollution Control Board for many years”, and “the author has completely ignored the failure of all major ‘industrial effluent treatment facilities’ of Gujarat”, he said.
